About The Position

Gordon State College is recruiting for part-time faculty to teach courses in various disciplines including Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Human Resource, Information System, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service, offering nearly 30 degrees and an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Management, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Information System or related field, with 18 or more semester credit hours in that discipline.
• Two (2) years teaching experience in higher education.

Nice To Haves

• Doctorate degree (PhD, DBA) in teaching discipline.
• Three (3) - Five (5) years of professional experience in a business-related field, preferably in the industry relevant to the courses being taught.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in the School of Business, ensuring high-quality delivery of content and student engagement.
• Contribute to the development, review, and updating of course materials and syllabus to ensure alignment with industry trends and academic standards.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments, assessments, and exams; hold office hours for student consultations; and offer academic guidance and mentorship.
• Assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and other methods as defined by the course syllabus.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of academic initiatives.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty members to improve instructional quality and student success.
• Stay updated on the latest research, teaching methods, and industry practices to continuously improve instructional effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and any other necessary documentation.
