About the position

DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This role involves delivering specialized nephrology care, working closely with an interdisciplinary team, and managing patient treatment plans in a dynamic environment. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float between various facilities during training and after.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients dealing with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
• Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
• Conduct patient observations, measure vital statistics, and set up dialysis machines.
• Provide specialty nephrology care in various settings including ICU, CCU, and ED.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing patient needs and schedules.
• Participate in clinical goal setting and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred; three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
• Dialysis experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg).
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification.
