About the position

The Acute CT Technologist position at Banner University Medical Center involves performing CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols to ensure optimal patient care. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality patient outcomes, and the use of advanced imaging technology. Technologists will work with Siemens CT machines and have opportunities for career growth, including the potential to upgrade to a Multi Modality Technologist role. The position includes a night shift schedule with additional weekend hours, and offers a supportive work environment with dedicated staff to assist in patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform prescribed CT imaging procedures according to department policies and protocols.
  • Educate patients and families about the procedures and treatments being performed.
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare them for timely interpretation.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing invasive/interventional procedures as applicable.
  • Conduct equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to safety policies.
  • Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Work collaboratively with medical imaging and nursing staff, as well as other healthcare team members.

Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • National Certification from ARRT or NMTCB required.
  • State Licensure for AZ, WY, NV required, including Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire.
  • Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography required within 18 months of hire.
  • Certification for BLS is required.
  • Two years of clinical experience in a related field.
