About the position
The Actuarial Senior Analyst position at Cigna Healthcare focuses on performing actuarial analyses specifically for the Medicare Advantage business. This role involves a variety of tasks including medical expense analyses, financial forecasts, and the development of Medicare Part C bids. The analyst will also be responsible for regulatory filings and providing ad hoc actuarial analyses and advice as needed, while effectively communicating results to management and associates.
Responsibilities
- Perform actuarial analyses for Medicare Advantage business.
- Conduct medical expense analyses and projections.
- Develop financial forecasts and Medicare Part C bids.
- Prepare regulatory (CMS) filings and actuarial modeling/analysis.
- Complete ad hoc actuarial analyses and provide advice as needed.
- Communicate updates and results to management and associates.
- Support cross-market review of bids and develop/update supporting forecasting and analyses.
- Apply analytical methods using mathematical and statistical models in bid modeling and financial analyses.
- Participate in team meetings and present on specific topics.
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills with experience in actuarial analyses.
- Proficiency in mathematical and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience with Medicare Advantage business and CMS regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex results to senior team members and management.
