About the position
The Actuarial Analyst III completes very diverse and complicated projects and performs very complex actuarial studies. This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a state lead for the IFTPM (Integrated Financial Trend Projection Model) process.
- Develops detailed Plan targets by type of service, including both trend and cost/utilization metrics.
- Updates trend projections periodically, to support pricing trend development and the corporate business plan.
- Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
- Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
- Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.
Requirements
- Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams.
- A minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
