About the position

The Activities Leader at Mission Bay RV Resort is responsible for engaging with guests to ensure their safety and enjoyment during various activities. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in recreational areas, particularly the pool area, and managing scheduled events and activities.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage all scheduled activities and special events as assigned
• Issue and maintain recreation equipment and supplies
• Inform guests of upcoming activities and special events
• Observe necessary precautions to ensure the safety of guests and participants
• Assist in operations and general maintenance of recreational areas, including cleaning and maintaining records
• Open and close the clubhouse, including set-up and tear down of all activities
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, managers, and all other departments by providing excellent customer service
• Set up and maintain the pool area, including placement and straightening of umbrellas, chairs, and tables
• Contact Facilities Department for any maintenance issues
• Adhere to all safety procedures as described in the basic training sessions
• Follow all guests and employee injury and incident reporting policies per the TVM Handbook
• Perform other duties as requested, developed, or assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Ability to approach guests with courtesy and confidence to enforce all policies in the clubhouse, pool, and spa
• Positive, upbeat attitude and ability to work on a team
• Ability to learn job responsibilities and stay organized and focused
• Clear communication skills with guests, vendors, and employees
• Ability to work outdoors for long periods
• Ability to exercise good judgment and approach strangers confidently and courteously
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
