About the position

The Activities Director at Sapphire at Tigard Rehab is responsible for planning and coordinating engaging activities that enhance the lives of residents. This full-time role focuses on creating a positive atmosphere through meaningful life enrichment programs, ensuring that residents have enjoyable and fulfilling experiences. The position offers training and support to help the director succeed in their responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct oversight of the indoor and outdoor activities
• Plan and carry out a creative and enjoyable life enrichment program in accordance with resident interests
• Coordinate monthly activity calendar making it available to all residents, families and friends
• Conduct one on one activities with residents
• Collaborate with outside community organizations or volunteers
• Oversee the life enrichment budget
• Document all participation from residents
• Assist in timely decorating for holidays or special events
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience in planning and coordinating activities for residents in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and community organizations
• Organizational skills to manage activity calendars and budgets
