About the position
The Activities Attendant is responsible for the organization and operation of various recreational programs and facilities, dealing with all homeowners and guests in a professional manner. The position requires a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves many tasks performed outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, features and services of the resort, and hours of operation of each outlet.
- Assist in planning and executing regularly scheduled activities, special events, and holiday activities.
- Assist with pool areas including chemical testing, towels, and maintaining locker rooms and fitness center.
- Assist with maintaining the South Lawn, playground, lawn bowling, lawn games, and other sports equipment.
- Assist with maintaining pavilion activities including bike rental/bike tours, archery, paddle tennis/pickleball rentals, and winter sports rentals.
- Assist with lakefront operations including towels/snack hut, lifejacket distribution, and overall beach and locker room cleanliness.
- Lead hayrides, nature hikes, butterfly tours, kayak tours, bike tours, and winter sports tours.
- Assist with kid's camp and kid's banquet.
- Assist with Grand March.
- Complete daily departmental procedures for the Activities Department.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of activities to recommend for homeowners/guests inquiries.
- Effectively and efficiently handle homeowners/guests issues.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience.
- Able to lift 30 or more pounds.
- Able to work alone and as part of a team.
- Appreciates and respects nature and its surroundings.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate well with homeowners, guests, and coworkers.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior guest relations training.
- Hospitality experience.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certified.
- College graduate.
- Knowledge about fitness and recreation activities/programs.
Benefits
