About the position

The Activities Attendant is responsible for the organization and operation of various recreational programs and facilities, dealing with all homeowners and guests in a professional manner. The position requires a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and involves many tasks performed outdoors in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of scheduled daily activities, features and services of the resort, and hours of operation of each outlet.
  • Assist in planning and executing regularly scheduled activities, special events, and holiday activities.
  • Assist with pool areas including chemical testing, towels, and maintaining locker rooms and fitness center.
  • Assist with maintaining the South Lawn, playground, lawn bowling, lawn games, and other sports equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining pavilion activities including bike rental/bike tours, archery, paddle tennis/pickleball rentals, and winter sports rentals.
  • Assist with lakefront operations including towels/snack hut, lifejacket distribution, and overall beach and locker room cleanliness.
  • Lead hayrides, nature hikes, butterfly tours, kayak tours, bike tours, and winter sports tours.
  • Assist with kid's camp and kid's banquet.
  • Assist with Grand March.
  • Complete daily departmental procedures for the Activities Department.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of activities to recommend for homeowners/guests inquiries.
  • Effectively and efficiently handle homeowners/guests issues.

Requirements

  • Prior customer service experience.
  • Able to lift 30 or more pounds.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Appreciates and respects nature and its surroundings.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate well with homeowners, guests, and coworkers.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior guest relations training.
  • Hospitality experience.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certified.
  • College graduate.
  • Knowledge about fitness and recreation activities/programs.

Benefits
