About the position

The Accredited VA Representative will assist veterans and their families in navigating the complexities of VA benefits, claims, and appeals processes. This role requires a compassionate advocate with VA accreditation and a strong understanding of VA policies, ensuring that veterans receive the support and guidance they need. The position is remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a commitment to serving the veteran community.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and submit VA claims for veterans and their families, ensuring all documentation meets VA standards.
• Provide expert guidance on a wide range of VA benefits, including compensation, pension, health care, education, and housing.
• Oversee claims from initiation through resolution, maintaining regular contact with clients, the VA, and relevant agencies to ensure timely processing.
• Support veterans in preparing for appeals, gathering evidence, and submitting documentation for Board of Veterans' Appeals.
• Ensure all records comply with federal regulations and VA requirements, maintaining high standards of confidentiality and accuracy.
• Engage with local veteran organizations to provide information on available benefits, services, and rights.

Requirements

• VA Accreditation (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in VA claims processing, veteran advocacy, or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of VA claims systems, regulations, and benefits.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering empathetic and clear guidance.
• Proficiency in relevant software and case management tools.
• Ability to work independently and remotely with strong time management skills.
