About the position

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at NetScout, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounts receivable processes and contributing to effective cash flow management. You will be responsible for accurate financial record-keeping, driving cash collections, and building strong cross-functional relationships. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to understand the broader impact of transactions across the organization. You will collaborate daily with the Accounting and Revenue Operations teams, on billing, collections and accounts receivable financial management. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and send out invoices.
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding invoices.
  • Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer credit issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of account statuses and collection efforts.
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate posting to ledger accounts.
  • Analyze and calculate bad debt reserves to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments as required.
  • Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned.
  • Develop and Monitor KPI's associated with collections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role - minimum 4 years.
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collection activities.
  • Prior public company experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the technology sector preferred but not required.
  • Team player with proven collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle preferred.
  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) a plus, but not required.
