About the position

The Accounts Payable Clerk at the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) plays a crucial role in supporting the financial management and operations of the organization. This full-time position involves processing accounts payable, managing expense reports, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and possess strong analytical and communication skills, contributing to the overall mission of supporting credit unions.

Responsibilities

• Processing accounts payable functions for multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of purchase orders, bills, payments, ACH's, voids, and stop payments.
• Maintaining accounts payable subledgers and vendor records.
• Monitoring accounts payable aging reports.
• Reconciling payments.
• Preparing annual 1099's.
• Completing monthly reconciliation of expense reports and credit cards.
• Maintaining accounting records and spreadsheets.
• Preparing records for storage as needed.
• Providing budget and audit assistance.

Requirements

• Associate degree in accounting, business, or finance; relevant work experience can substitute year for year of the education.
• Three years of accounting and/or advanced bookkeeping experience required.
• Proficiency in Excel and Adobe; advanced computer skills necessary.
• Must excel in a paperless work environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, customer service-oriented environment is essential.
