About the position
The Accounts Payable Analyst at Fashion Nova is responsible for managing vendor accounts and ensuring the overall health of Accounts Payable (AP) Balance Sheet accounts. This role involves performing daily vendor statement reconciliations, addressing discrepancies, and maintaining high standards of customer service for both internal and external stakeholders. The position requires a self-starter who can work independently and adapt to changing business needs, with a focus on technical requirements as AP processes become more automated.
Responsibilities
- Manage the overall health of vendor accounts and AP Balance Sheet accounts.
- Perform daily vendor statement reconciliations and address discrepancies.
- Participate in process improvement projects and data integrations with AP automation software.
- Assist with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects.
- Monitor balance sheet accounts and manage non-merchandise aging items.
- Process non-merchandise invoices efficiently and accurately.
- Seek out vendor statements and reconcile them accordingly.
- Review and respond to vendor inquiries with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field required; Accounting degree preferred.
- 4-5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills, including v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Experience with AP automation implementations and understanding of Accounts Payable requirements for IT.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with apparel invoice processing.
- Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay tools such as Ariba or Coupa.
- Ability to communicate in additional languages.
