About the position

Kalamazoo Valley Community College is seeking an accounting tutor. This position provides tutoring to students in one-on-one and small group settings. The work schedule includes daytime and evening hours, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to students in accounting.
• Enhance the learning experiences for students in the subject area.
• Assist students in understanding accounting concepts and coursework.

Requirements

• Must possess a 3.0 grade point average or better in the discipline.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must have successfully completed Accounting I (ACC 101), Accounting II (ACC 102), and Accounting III (ACC 103) or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

• Successful completion of accounting classes beyond Accounting I - III.
• Completion of Business Courses (BUS 100, BUS 101, BUS 102, BUS 103, BUS 106, BUS 108, and BUS 109) is preferred.
• An associate's degree in accounting is preferred.
