About the position

The Accounting Specialist at Parse Biosciences plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of accounting processes and supporting the company's growth. This position involves managing accounts payable transactions, improving internal controls, and ensuring accurate financial operations while fostering effective communication with various stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable transactions entered into NetSuite, updating vendor information as necessary.
  • Complete 2-way match, review and assign appropriate department and GL codes for purchased goods and services.
  • Progress approval workflow for purchase order and vendor payments for payment via check, ACH and Wire through Bill.com.
  • Process and administer virtual cards and budgets in Brex and Bill.com.
  • Assist with travel booking transactions via Navan travel management solution.
  • Assist with tax reporting and registration, audit preparations, selections, and requests.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist in the month-end close process.
  • Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks such as month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit support.
  • Enter, post, and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer and vendor issues, prepare aging report, post invoicing and conduct collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

Requirements

  • Minimum of an associate degree in accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience in similar accounting roles.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Professional experience using Bill.com, Brex, or similar online bill paying tool and credit card management tools.
  • Experience with Navan travel management solution (or similar).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle a varied workload independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external customers, and vendors.
