About the position

The Accounting Specialist (Payable/Receivable/AP/AR) at Geopaq Logic is responsible for managing the billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of customer billing, and maintaining the accounts receivable and payable functions. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication to manage relationships with clients and internal teams across various international offices.

Responsibilities

• Process customer billing accurately and on time according to company policy.
• Manage billing (AR/AP) processes using internal software.
• Monitor the status of accounts and outstanding balances, identifying inconsistencies.
• Assist in the completion and distribution of invoices with high accuracy.
• Issue and post bills, receipts, and invoices.
• Follow up on airline and trucking company charges and disputes, providing necessary backup documentation.
• Verify and validate debit accounts before submission.
• Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments.
• Ensure clients are informed about their outstanding debts and deadlines.
• Write detailed reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data.

Requirements

• Intermediate Excel skills, advanced preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Self-starter with proactive and organized work habits.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers and carriers.
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or High School diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics or freight preferred.
