About the position

The Accounting Manager at Curt G. Joa, Inc. is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the accounting cycle, including budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management. This role requires strong analytical and technical accounting skills, as well as effective organizational abilities. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with the Corporate Controller and interact with department managers and the executive team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting for and execution of payroll related transactions.
• Provide support to Payroll Specialist as needed.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable team members.
• Review all letters of credit in conjunction with the staff accountant.
• Responsible for all ERP system configurations of payables and receivables.
• Oversee the banking interface of day-to-day transactions.
• Accountable for oversight of Treasury Management for US operations, including all cash and investment activity.
• Review and approve monthly journal entries and accruals in accordance with GAAP.
• Review and approve financial statements, balance sheets reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with pre-audit requests.
• Oversee Standard Cost process and all related general ledger activity.
• Oversee job costing including interfaces, reporting, and profitability analysis.
• Complete month-end and year-end analysis of manufacturing costs.
• Supervise monthly analysis of inventory.
• Participate in the annual operating budget process, including labor capacity analysis and department allocations.
• Ensure year-end close processes are completed in the ERP system.
• Support annual financial audit process and delegate among accounting team.
• Responsible for key reserves and accruals.
• Back-up Corporate Controller as needed.
