About the position

The Accounting Director, International, at Global Critical Logistics will oversee the corporate accounting team, managing month-end close processes, annual audits, and financial reporting for international operations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and compliance with US GAAP, while collaborating with internal and external auditors and senior executives to resolve complex accounting issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the monthly closing process, prepare complex entries and adjustments for the international entities.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations, closing journal entries, and monthly flux analysis against prior year and budget.
• Act as the main point of contact for forecast and budget preparation.
• Prepare roll-forward schedules and variance analysis for the monthly financial reporting package.
• Participate in monthly financial review meetings with management.
• Prepare audit disclosure notes and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with independent auditors to facilitate reviews and the annual audit.
• Maintain current understanding of GAAP guidelines and research technical accounting issues.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and work on projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 10+ years of related work experience.
• Experience at a large accounting or consulting firm providing accounting/auditing.
• Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
• Excellent communication skills to present information to senior management.
• Comfortable managing multiple projects with tight or overlapping deadlines.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

Nice-to-haves

• NetSuite ERP experience is a plus.
• Experience in creating ad hoc reporting and board materials as required.
