About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording debits and credits appropriately.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to verify account balances.
• Support technical accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data for reporting purposes.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role in an accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Proficiency in using accounting software is preferred.
• Experience with accounts receivables, accounts payable, bank reconciliation, budgeting, and general ledger accounting is highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Excel (1 year required).
• CPA certification (preferred).
