About the position
The Accounting Clerk (AC) at Watterson Management, LLC is responsible for performing various accounting support functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. The AC will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will engage in tasks that contribute to the financial health of Watterson Brands and its affiliated entities.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties
- Maintain bank registers and reconcile bank accounts monthly
- Manage vendor relations including entering and posting invoices and assisting with vendor issues
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before entry
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and records of financial transactions
- Prepare financial reports as needed
- Verify the accuracy of accounting documents and investigate questionable data
- Complete other duties and miscellaneous reports as assigned
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Accounting
- 2 years of accounting experience
