About the position

The Accounting Assistant at Law Firm Financials Unlimited, P.C. is responsible for managing the firm's day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and case/trust reconciliation. The role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with practical business experience to ensure accuracy in financial documentation and support the CPA and management team.

Responsibilities

  • Daily check preparation
  • Keep case settlements organized and detailed, ensuring accuracy in attorney fees, costs, and client allocations
  • Updating existing case files on Firm's management software
  • Provide support to CPA and management
  • Liaison between office and CPA firm
  • Verification of all invoices and check requests
  • Mails accounts payable checks upon approval
  • Assists the team with questions regarding payables and billing
  • Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files
  • Maintain organized case files
  • Tracking and reconciliation of client trust accounts

Requirements

  • 5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles
  • Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to perform trust reconciliation accurately
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience in personal injury law
