About The Position

Kentucky River Community Care is seeking an Accountant. This is a full-time position with potential for remote work in Hazard, Jackson, or Lexington. The role involves preparing and examining financial statements, performing month-end closing procedures, conducting internal/external data analysis and reporting, ensuring financial compliance with IRS regulations and state/local tax laws, and participating in process improvement activities.

Requirements

• Requires BA/BS in business related area with a minimum of 15 hours of accounting.
• Minimum of 5 Years relevant experience.
• Experience may substitute for degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, especially Excel.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Familiar with operations of ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial statements and/or subsidiary records.
• Perform month-end closing procedures.
• Conduct Internal/External Data Analysis and reporting.
• Ensure financial compliance, such as IRS regulations, state/local tax law/ordinance updates, etc.
• Participate in process improvement activities as requested.
