About The Position

Ensure accounting compliance with US GAAP. Ensure timely and accurate recognition of revenue and expense and proper classification of financial statement transactions. Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet accounts and internal financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field
  • 2 + years’ experience in public or private industry accounting
  • Ability to organize and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Technical GAAP accounting knowledge
  • Highly skilled in Excel
  • Proficient at Word
  • Collaborative
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency in completing assignments
  • Experience with Accounting system software or ERP’s

Nice To Haves

  • CPA a plus
  • MBA a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls
  • Perform an accurate and timely monthly close
  • Perform regular analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts for assigned areas, including but not limited to Property, Plant, and Equipment accounts
  • Prepare and record journal entries for assigned areas
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly flux analysis commentary for assigned accounts
  • Prepare information for use in reporting schedules
  • Summarize data for management analysis
  • Analyze account balances and take required action
  • Work with internal business partners to resolve issues
  • Support inquiries from internal and external auditors
