The Capital Markets Accounting team sits at the core of our expanding retail and institutional businesses, providing the accounting foundation for our rapidly growing Futures Commission Merchant and Broker-Dealer. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to drive finance and accounting processes, support new product launches, and ensure regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with leaders across product, engineering, operations, and legal teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of public accounting and/or industry experience within brokerage, asset management, investment advisory, or other regulated financial services organizations.
  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Working knowledge of FINRA/SEC broker-dealer rules, CFTC/NFA regulations for registered FCMs, and relevant accounting guidance (ASC 815, 17 CFR 1.20).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent reporting deadlines, including experience supporting regulatory filings and audit cycles.
  • Availability to work EST hours to meet daily regulatory filing deadlines.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Own accounting close activities for the FCM and Broker-Dealer entities, including preparation of journal entries, financial statements, and quarterly/annual financial results.
  • Execute timely submission of all required regulatory reporting to the CFTC, NFA, and other applicable agencies, meeting daily filing deadlines.
  • Support internal and external audits for the registered FCM and Broker-Dealer entities
  • Drive execution of internal controls over compliance, regulatory reporting, and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and legal teams to support accounting readiness for new product launches.
  • Support daily monitoring of entity liquidity and capital requirements, escalating material issues to internal stakeholders promptly.
  • Supporting timely submission of all required reporting to the CFTC, NFA and other regulatory agencies
  • Supporting all aspects of monthly accounting close activities related to the FCM and Broker Dealer entities
  • Driving preparation of monthly financial statements and quarterly/annual financial results
  • Supporting all internal and external audits for the registered FCM and Broker Dealer entities
  • Supporting execution of internal controls over compliance, regulatory reporting and accounting policies and procedures
  • Monitoring the entities daily liquidity and capital requirements
