About the position

The Accountant for Assets and Projects at AdventHealth Corporate is responsible for providing financial information to management through research and analysis of accounting data. This role serves as a liaison between the corporate office and facilities, supporting decision-making processes and ensuring accurate financial documentation. The position requires active participation in cash funding requests and may involve occasional support outside of normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions and substantiates them by auditing documents.
• Creates and submits cash funding requests.
• Reconciles urgent check accounts and requests wire transfers when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
• Available outside of normal business hours for occasional support needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related degree.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness with data.
• Monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Reviews and validates financial information assumptions and methodology based on a thorough understanding of financial concepts.
• In consultation with the manager, prioritizes and plans work activities and projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with business concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
