About the position
We are seeking a skilled Accountant Administrator to join our team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing financial statements. The role involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating with internal teams to support financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform accrual accounting and maintain accurate financial records
- Conduct double-entry bookkeeping and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to provide insights for decision-making
- Mentor junior staff members in accounting best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to support financial reporting requirements
- Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and interpretation
- Knowledge of accrual accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping
- Ability to mentor junior staff members in accounting practices
