Responsibilities
- Perform complex financial analysis and reporting for the Fire/EMS Department.
- Supervise the Ambulance Billing and Grants team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Oversee the work of a Budget Management Analyst III and an Accountant III, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to department leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Nice-to-haves
