About the position

LifeShare is seeking an Account Manager to develop and nurture relationships with businesses, schools, churches, and civic organizations in the community to encourage them to host blood drives. The Account Manager will work with the hosts’ drive chairpersons and coordinate with our blood collection teams to plan, market and execute successful blood drives at locations throughout the community. Through their efforts, they help to ensure a safe blood supply is available in our community when needed for traumas, therapies and treatments. Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with community organizations to encourage blood drives.
  • Coordinate with drive chairpersons and blood collection teams.
  • Plan, market, and execute successful blood drives.
  • Ensure a safe blood supply is available in the community.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in marketing, public relations or related field.
  • At least two (2) years of sales, business development or relevant experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in public speaking.
  • Self-motivated to schedule and follow-up on meetings.
  • Ability to use a computer to retrieve or record blood drive information.
  • Positive approach toward donors, drive chairpersons, the community, and coworkers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in blood collection account management.
  • Proficiency in blood typing for educational purposes.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communication.
