About the position

The Account Manager for Corporate Life Science Accounts is responsible for managing and expanding the corporate account base within the Life Sciences industry. This role involves strategic account planning, ensuring customer satisfaction, and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive sales and renewals of Elsevier's solutions. The Account Manager will leverage their expertise to understand customer needs and deliver tailored value propositions, ultimately contributing to the growth of Elsevier's business in this sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring customer loyalty and satisfaction within the PharmaBiotech Industry.
  • Prospecting and acquiring new accounts while strategically growing and sustaining existing accounts.
  • Continuing strategic account planning to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Understanding customer needs and delivering a value story to key stakeholders.
  • Leading and driving high-value and complex negotiations with sales colleagues.
  • Interacting with various stakeholders at an account to transform the value perception of Elsevier's offerings.

Requirements

  • Experience calling on corporate institutions selling complex products at C-level.
  • Experience managing a complex matrix of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience using digital sales automation tools and CRMs.
  • Experience in managing large, complex customers and driving customer engagement.
  • High level of motivation with extensive business acumen and communication skills.
  • Strategic, consultative selling approach with enthusiasm and energy.
  • College education from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to travel as needed for accounts within the US and/or Canada.
