About the position

The Account Manager for Commercial Large Property at The Hartford plays a crucial role in supporting underwriting and sales acquisition processes. This position involves coordinating new business and renewal policies, managing customer inquiries, and ensuring effective communication with agents. The role requires balancing high transaction volumes while maintaining quality and timeliness, all within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support underwriting in the sales acquisition process through account coordination and essential services.
  • Review and prepare work orders for rating and issuing policies.
  • Communicate with customers to obtain necessary underwriting information and resolve issues.
  • Manage a high volume of transactions while balancing quality and timeliness.
  • Organize work based on team priorities and maintain an effective follow-up system.
  • Build effective relationships with agents and support sales efforts.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the Commercial Market Insurance industry as an Account Manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of primary insurance coverages, particularly Property.
  • Experience with Large Property is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including V-Lookups and filtering/sorting.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
