About the position

The Account Executive at Shamrock Foods Company is responsible for maximizing sales growth profitably by representing the company's products and services to various establishments such as restaurants, resorts, and hotels. This role involves building and maintaining customer relationships, supporting customer success through various analyses, and leveraging technology to enhance customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect new customers and build a territory to grow the customer base
  • Maintain current customer base and grow the share of the customer's business
  • Support customer menu engineering and food cost analysis to ensure waste reduction and improve customer profitability
  • Consume and share market intelligence and industry trends
  • Conduct product demonstrations and comparisons by taking sample products to customers' restaurants or facilities
  • Facilitate demonstrations of capabilities to support the customer
  • Share new product innovations through utilization of Shamrock resources
  • Build multi-level relationships in the businesses served
  • Keep accounts current; optimizing sales, service, and delivery and collecting past-due balances from customers
  • Leverage technology for improved customer efficiency and to drive customer experience enhancements
  • Participate in ongoing training to continuously develop skills
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in culinary, restaurant operations, foodservice, or related experience preferred
  • Previous successful sales experience preferred
  • Current driver license
  • Demonstrated expertise in problem solving
  • Comfort using technology and analyzing customer data
  • Knowledgeable on industry trends
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
