About the position

The Account Executive will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of sales objectives to prospects and existing base of customers, with a specific focus on growing Lightcast's engagement with Education and Government clients in Italy. They will play a vital role in our company's obsession with giving customers the unexpected and adding value at every interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute outcomes based strategic sales practices via competitive analysis, customer segmentation and product utilisation, market and prospect/account penetration plans, as well as thoughtful product positioning.
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets for sales volume, market share and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Identify and close sales opportunities, negotiate contracts with support from legal counsel and other internal stakeholders as appropriate for deal execution.
  • Successfully manage the full sales cycle for each opportunity from prospecting, qualifying, and nurturing the opportunity to presenting the offer, handling objections and closing the sale.
  • Forecast with accuracy, manage, and successfully drive opportunities to closure while sustaining a 3x pipeline.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, including proven success in cold calling, emailing, appointment setting, and social selling.
  • Experience working with or selling to education and government organizations.
  • Expertise in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, SalesLoft) and advanced business technology tools (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office).
  • Successful track record in consulting, solution selling, and multi-platform product sales.
  • Fluency in English with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and focused on achieving winning outcomes.
  • Passionate about engaging prospects/clients to uncover challenges and provide solutions.
  • Capable of maintaining high activity levels, managing competing priorities, and thriving in a results-driven culture.
  • Continuous learner with a collaborative mindset, dedicated to creating win-win outcomes.
  • Independent yet coachable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
