About the position

The Account Director, BioAnalytics is responsible for driving revenue growth in biologics analytical services, focusing on identifying and closing GLP clinical and commercial opportunities. This role involves market intelligence and research analysis through client interactions and trade shows, contributing to the growth of Catalent Biologics, which offers innovative technologies and solutions for biologic treatments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth for biologics analytical services.
  • Identify and close GLP clinical and commercial opportunities.
  • Conduct market intelligence and market research analysis through client interactions and trade shows.
  • Develop strong relationships and establish new clients in the biotech service-based market segment.
  • Engage in consultative selling in a regulated environment.
  • Understand drug development requirements including preclinical and clinical stages.
  • Utilize customer informational databases and metrics to define success in selling services to Pharma clients.
  • Develop and negotiate complex contracts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the bio, pharma, medical device industries, or related fields.
  • Experience in developing and negotiating complex contracts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific area required.
  • Preferred: Science-related MS, Ph.D., or MBA (with science BS).
  • Proven track record of developing strong relationships and closing business.
  • Demonstrated success in consultative selling in a regulated environment.
  • Clear understanding of drug development requirements.
  • Exceptional selling, organization, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the biotech service-based market segment.
  • Familiarity with GLP clinical and commercial opportunities.
