About the position

The Academic Fellow (Instructor/Fellow) position at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is a two-year fellowship designed to prepare PharmD graduates for careers in academic pharmacy. The program emphasizes personalized training and mentorship, focusing on teaching, research, and clinical practice. Fellows will engage in scholarly activities, develop pedagogical skills, and provide clinical services, all while benefiting from a collaborative academic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Development and delivery of classroom learning sessions in the PharmD program.
  • Facilitation of skill-based activity sessions and case discussions in a hybrid learning environment.
  • Completion of one or more teaching and learning scholarship projects, culminating in presentations and manuscript submissions.
  • Providing primary or specialty care at an outpatient practice within the UCHealth System or internal medicine inpatient practice.
  • Participation in Curriculum Committee and/or Assessment Committee and education-related service activities.
  • Completion of certificate programs related to teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE-accredited program.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado.

Nice-to-haves

  • PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency from an ASHP-accredited program.
