About the position
The Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) position involves providing one-on-one Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy for children with autism in their homes, schools, or community settings. The role requires working closely with clients aged 2-13 years, utilizing Natural Environment Teaching and functional communication strategies. The position is full-time, with a focus on integrating therapy into the child's daily life while ensuring a supportive environment for both the child and their family.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children with autism in home and community settings.
- Utilize Natural Environment Teaching and functional communication strategies during therapy sessions.
- Work closely with clients aged 2-13 years, adapting techniques to meet individual needs.
- Integrate therapy into the child's daily life, following their lead and interests.
- Maintain a set schedule and manage 2-4 clients per day, ensuring quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Active RBT certification is required.
- Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism.
- Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Experience with Natural Environment Teaching and teaching functional communication.
- Physical capability to play with and lift young children.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Verbal Behavior techniques is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role or setting.
