About the position

The HR Specialist position within Aramark's Accelerate to Leadership (A2L) Program is designed for recent college graduates seeking to launch their careers in human resources. This year-long development program offers valuable work experience, mentorship, and professional training across various business areas. Participants will engage in leadership roles while addressing employee relations, compliance, and HR projects, ultimately fostering a culture of service and inclusion within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve general employee relations issues and provide direction to leadership.
  • Consult with managers on policies and compliance regarding employment-related matters.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints and concerns regarding employment practices.
  • Conduct interviews and prepare documentation using investigation guidelines.
  • Recommend resolutions for complaints and develop action plans for follow-up.
  • Interact with internal and external resources to acquire necessary information.
  • Coordinate leave of absence cases, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
  • Review dashboard metrics to optimize efficiency and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed, including auditing SharePoint site.
  • Manage New Hire Orientation, Onboarding, File Compliance, and Training Programs.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between December and August of the current school year.
  • All degree requirements must be completed prior to the program start date.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Degree or background in hospitality, customer service, food service, facilities, operations, or sales.
  • Relevant coursework or work experience in related fields.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
