About the position

The Sales Associate at Marshalls is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining store standards, and supporting various operational tasks. This part-time role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and adherence to company policies while contributing to a positive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and handle cash according to procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards.
• Participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of multi-tasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
