About the position
The 7 Days a Week Janitorial Worker position at GFP Maintenance involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers by performing various cleaning tasks early in the morning before business hours. The role requires reliability, integrity, and the ability to work independently while adhering to established cleaning standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for customers.
- Thoroughly clean, vacuum, mop, and sanitize all common areas (i.e., restrooms, sales floor, and fitting rooms) according to work scope cleaning standards.
- Vacuum floor surfaces and operate the floor scrubber machine according to an established schedule.
- Properly dispose of trash according to business requirements.
- Clean/dust items high off the ground.
- Maintain cleaning equipment (i.e., cleaning the mop bucket, emptying vacuum bags).
- Continually stand and move throughout the facility to accomplish tasks during the shift.
Requirements
- Exhibit a positive and upbeat attitude.
- Pride yourself on your work while being punctual, reliable, and dependable.
- Ability to work seven days a week, early morning hours, and complete the scope of work within a two-hour period before business opening (7-9 AM or 8-10 AM).
- Must be able to call in to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at the start of every job, every day.
- Act with integrity and show respect to everyone around you.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and move in different positions, including bending and twisting, to accomplish tasks.
