About the position
The Creeler/Operator position at Tarkett involves maintaining the Tufting machine and ensuring the quality of carpet production. Responsibilities
- Monitor carpet quality.
- Change backing.
- Make out roll tickets.
- Doff rolls.
- Mend both punch needle and mending gun.
- Give breaks to Tufting Operator.
- Hang creel to tuft.
- Receive yarn to creel and ensure all tickets are accounted for and yarn color and lots match work order.
- Hang yarn on either creel.
- Maintain a clean work area at all times.
- Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to read yarn labels.
- Ability to follow instructions on warp orders.
- Ability to hang and remove 306 to 612 cones of yarn on creels in a 12-hour shift.
- Keep records on daily report.
- Ability to bend, pull, and lift.
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
- Ability to use air splicer.
- Ability to run knots through the Tufting machine.
- Ability to understand graphic patterns.
