About the position

The Night Shift Finished Goods OM Lead at Mt. Olive Pickle Company is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of production equipment in the DC Production location. This role involves coordinating work, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. The lead will also assist in training employees and may assume supervisory duties in the absence of the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, troubleshoots, repairs and/or replaces parts, and operates qualified equipment in the department.
• Coordinates work and resolves production or equipment problems under the supervision of the supervisor.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspection of all equipment.
• Adjusts line speeds as necessary to meet standards and maximize production while maintaining quality.
• Performs daily and weekly operational and pre-operational checks on all equipment.
• Writes work requests for any repairs and has supervisor approve.
• Cleans and maintains assigned work area, including servicing and performing preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Monitors to assure that all product adheres to food safety and quality critical limits.
• Assists in training and monitoring progress of employees in the department.
• Records weekly inventory of department supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Additional trades training is a strong plus.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English is required.
• Mathematical skills for sizing materials and computing amounts needed.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions concerning mathematical and equipment procedures.
• Intermediate level computer skills needed.
• Must successfully complete company training modules for all pieces of qualified equipment.

Nice-to-haves
