Responsibilities
- Assemble products and/or related parts in a manufacturing setting at a standard rate of work based on customer demand and lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
- Cross-train in other departments to learn additional functions.
- Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
- Maintain and monitor machinery to ensure proper function.
- Perform multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting.
- Produce a high-quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers.
- Solve problems with the assistance of other team members and seek continuous improvement.
- Receive, store, and pull raw and finished goods through the facility in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example) or work experience which demonstrates performance competency.
- Competent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
- Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.
- Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.
- Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Required to communicate and to be able to see with or without correction.
