About the position

The Truist Securities CIB Summer Analyst Program will run for approximately 10 weeks in the summer months. The Summer Analyst Program will consist of activities such as networking socials, case studies and presentations, team-building projects, and an Executive Speaker Series featuring the CEO and other senior leaders. Community service opportunities are provided and involvement is strongly encouraged. The program offers the opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank. Competitive Summer Analysts will be eligible to receive an offer to return in full-time positions as part of our Analyst program upon graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate relationships with institutional investors/buy-side clients in order to distribute primary and secondary corporate bonds.
  • Support the trading desk by working closely with traders and research analysts.
  • Conduct security valuation, financial modeling, statistical analysis, research, programming (Python), and presentation development.
  • Assist with all aspects of position monitoring/reporting.
  • Learn the business and develop an understanding of the markets.
  • Display proficiency in daily trading tasks to progress to a risk-taking capacity.
  • Learn all aspects of trade execution and inquiry, operations management, P&L reconciliation, and daily reporting.

Requirements

  • Final graduation with a BA/BS degree December 2026 or June 2027.
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Business major.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework.
  • High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement.
  • Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program.
