About the position
The intern will join a team of 30 personnel responsible for the manufacturing of Elaprase Drug Substance at Takeda's Alewife manufacturing facility. Team is part of the broader MA Bio Ops Manufacturing organization that includes the Lexington site as well.
Responsibilities
- Learning, understanding, and leading manufacturing processes, projects, and/or teams as well as support systems that ensure quality and on-time delivery of product in a safe and compliant manner
- Process improvements to reduce manufacturing deviation
- Identifying material optimization opportunities
- Designing a manufacturing cross-training program
Requirements
- This position will be Fully Onsite and require 4+ days in the Cambridge, MA manufacturing site per week
- Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)
- Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering
- Highly reliable and a strong team player
- Flexible with an attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (STEM, Supply Chain majors preferred)
