About the position

The 2025 Summer Intern position in Agency Recruiting at State Farm offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience in a Fortune 50 company. Interns will collaborate with professionals, engage in meaningful projects, and develop skills in various areas such as Market Management and Candidate Sourcing strategy. This internship is designed for students completing their junior or senior year, providing valuable training, mentorship, and networking opportunities while working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gain insight into various areas within Agency Recruiting including Market Management strategy and Candidate Sourcing strategy.
  • Gain experience in project and stakeholder relationship management practices.
  • Develop skills in business storytelling through data.
  • Build experience in the annual strategic planning process.
  • Engage in the mentorship program and interact with senior leadership.
  • Participate in volunteer opportunities to give back to the community.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate or post-graduate program.
  • Majors in Business Management, Data Analytics, Managerial Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, or Entrepreneurship.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt well to a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong foundational analytical and data visualization skills.
  • Strong business and technical acumen with a willingness for continued learning and development.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships through candid feedback and information sharing.
  • Self-disciplined with schedule and time management skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills, adaptable to audience and context.
  • Proactive with strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
