About the position
This internship position at Raytheon is designed for students entering their sophomore year or higher by the start of summer 2025. The role is integral to the Finance Organization, which acts as a strategic business partner across the company. Interns will gain hands-on experience by supporting a Strategic Business Unit or Functional Area within Finance, engaging in various tasks that contribute to the overall mission of the organization. The Finance team is dedicated to providing valuable insights that enhance decision-making processes, ensuring that the company meets its commitments to customers while maintaining accountability to both internal and external stakeholders. Interns will be involved in a range of activities, including developing financial models, improving processes, and preparing presentations for Finance Leadership. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn about the financial operations of Raytheon, the organizational structure, and the various ways the company fulfills its commitments. Interns will also participate in weekly development sessions aimed at enhancing both technical and soft skills, thereby expanding their professional network. The internship will provide exposure to key areas such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Overhead Rates & Budgets, Program/Contract Business Management, Pricing/Proposal Development, and Project Management. The responsibilities of the internship include identifying and resolving problems, performing routine tasks, and following detailed instructions to achieve assigned goals. This position is ideal for students pursuing degrees in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Management, or related fields, and requires U.S. citizenship due to government contractual obligations. The internship is structured to support students in their academic and professional growth, preparing them for future careers in finance and related disciplines.

Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Management, or a related field (i.e. STEM).
- U.S. citizenship is required due to government contractual requirements.
- Must be an actively enrolled sophomore, junior, senior, or post-graduate intern based on the candidate's qualifications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, & Project.
- Cumulative 3.5 GPA desired.
- Previous internship experience in a related field.
