About the position
The AVANGRID internship program offers students the opportunity to gain real-world experience while supporting the company's strategic direction in the energy sector. Interns will work alongside industry professionals and mentors, tackling unique challenges in areas such as Environmental Science, Wildlife Biology, and Natural Resource Management. This dynamic 10-week program allows interns to engage in innovative projects, collaborate with various teams, and present their work to the organization, potentially leading to full-time opportunities upon graduation.
Responsibilities
- Support the company's strategic direction by working on special projects.
- Collaborate with mentors and professionals in various business groups.
- Participate in cross-functional activities to broaden knowledge of AVANGRID.
- Create and present a comprehensive presentation of work completed during the internship.
- Contribute fresh perspectives to AVANGRID leadership.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or 1st year Master/MBA degree, preferably in Environmental Studies, Wildlife Biology, or Natural Resource Management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
Nice-to-haves
- Preferred concentrations in Environmental Studies/Management/Science/Law, maritime, Wildlife Biology, or Natural Resource Management.
