About the position

The Business Operations Internship at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN, is a paid opportunity designed for college students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in business operations during summer tournament events. The internship runs from mid-May 2025 to mid-August 2025, focusing on assisting with various operational tasks to ensure successful tournament execution while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization of VIP Suites and Chair/Wagon Rental program.
  • Work directly under Team Coordinators, assisting with rosters, welcome packets, and paperwork before each tournament.
  • Coordinate team gift distribution and assist Full-Time Staff with inventory count each week.
  • Serve as a customer service representative to coaches/spectators during the event, answering questions related to their tournament.
  • Work directly with front office personnel to successfully execute all week-long tournaments.
  • Assist Food and Beverage Manager, Facilities Manager, and Retail Coordinator as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment on Sundays during check-in, opening ceremonies, and skills competitions.
  • Convey professionalism while providing extraordinary customer service.
  • Emulate a positive environment with peers and full-time staff.
  • Absorb training and demonstrate initiative to uphold the values of the Ripken brand.
  • Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • College student seeking credit or recent college graduate seeking work experience.
  • Prior experience in a customer service environment.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality with strong initiative and high energy.
