About the position

Our co-op programs are designed to provide paid work experience and valuable hands-on experience in your field. Co-op assignments are typically 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday for 8 months. The Spring 2025 Co-ops run from January 2025 to September 2025, and the Fall 2025 Co-ops run from May 2025 to January 2026. Various engineering roles are available, including Operations & Production Engineering, Controls Engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, QA Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Design Engineering, IT Helpdesk, IT Web Development QA, IT Customer Experience QA, IT Data & Analytics, IT Security, and Master Data Management. Each role involves specific responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a specific production team with hourly employees and engineers to support Safety, Delivery, Cost, and Quality.
  • Lead and supervise assembly/fabrication activities to achieve production goals.
  • Monitor and drive quality measures and implement continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal groups for cost reduction, work simplification, production scheduling, and manpower planning.
  • Develop embedded solutions with software and hardware teams.
  • Design and implement automated test systems for luxury residential appliances.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing process in Fabrication, Assembly, or New Product Development.
  • Assist in creating test plans and executing software testing on products.
  • Develop solutions to reliability issues and assist in reliability assurance during product development.
  • Design, develop, test, and document new designs and enhancements to products.
  • Troubleshoot IT incidents and support hardware/software issues.
  • Collaborate on manual and automated testing within development teams.
  • Gain experience with data platforms, analytics, and reporting tools.
  • Work with security tools to prevent and remediate cyber security attacks.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a relevant degree program at an accredited institution.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the co-op assignment.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles related to the specific role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data engineering and analytics tools.
  • Experience with security tools and practices.
