About the position
The JROTC Army Instructor at Veterans Memorial High School is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the subject area assigned. The instructor will help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, enabling them to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. This position involves military service instruction to secondary level cadets and assisting the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) in implementing the policies and procedures for the high school JROTC program according to national, state, and district standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate learning activities and experiences in the assigned subject area.
- Assist students in fulfilling their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth.
- Enable students to develop competencies and skills for successful societal functioning.
- Serve as a military service instructor to secondary level cadets.
- Assist the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) in implementing JROTC program policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university preferred.
- Retired Army Non-Commissioned Officer (E-6 up to CSM) or Warrant Officer (W-2 up, W-4) with a minimum of 20 years military service.
- Not retired from military service longer than 3 years.
