About the position
The Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Man High School is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of the basketball program, including training, strategy development, and player development. This role is crucial for fostering a positive team environment and ensuring the athletes are prepared for competition.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices.
- Support the development of players' skills and teamwork.
- Help in strategizing game plans and analyzing opponents.
- Maintain communication with players and parents regarding team activities.
- Ensure compliance with school and athletic department policies.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience in basketball or a related sport.
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules and strategies.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience playing basketball at the high school or collegiate level.
