About the position
The Summer Credit Recovery Guidance Counselor at Warrensville Heights High School is responsible for facilitating the effective planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of guidance services during the summer credit recovery program. The position requires maintaining accurate records, submitting reports on time, and ensuring safety while monitoring student activities. The counselor will also be involved in test administration and pre-registration of students.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the effective planning, delivery, and ongoing improvement of guidance services
- Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time
- Maintains detailed records suitable for financial audits
- Takes precautions to ensure safety and monitors situations that may indicate a problem
- Provides appropriate student supervision and works with supervisors to manage or eliminate risk factors
- Supervises non-classroom activities when assigned
- Implements and adheres to ODE security guidelines
- Monitors test administration and is knowledgeable of test administration procedures
- Coordinates pre-registration of students including rosters, room assignments, etc.
- Collects and packages test booklets and answer documents
- Performs other specific job-related duties as directed
Benefits
- Contractual negotiated amount of $35.00 an hour for summer employment
